The drive-thru clinic opened last March and has since tested more than 47,000 people for the coronavirus. In a ceremony Tuesday, Caldwell UNC Health Care honored employees who worked at the clinic, which closes today. Right: Easton said that the clinic was a source of hope and comfort during a crisis. “Anybody could come here, anybody could be tested, anybody could have the comfort of knowing that they would have a result,” she said.
