A tractor-trailer driver from Lenoir is facing multiple charges after leading police on a chase on Friday near Greensboro, according to a media report.

A tractor-trailer driven by Julian Colman Parsons, 28, of Lenior was reported to the N.C. Highway Patrol for reckless driving on Interstate 40 in western Alamance County, east of Greensboro, WXII-TV reported.

When troopers tried to get Parsons to pull over, he did not stop and instead turned onto N.C. 61 in Guilford County, the report said.

As Parsons fled from troopers, his truck collided with two other vehicles, then drove into a ditch, the report said. Nobody was injured.

After running into the ditch, Parsons got out of the truck and ran, but troopers caught him.

He was charged with felony speeding to elude arrest, driving while impaired, reckless driving, hit-and-run and several traffic violations.
