Blowing Rock WinterFest takes place Thursday-Sunday, Jan. 28-31, with changes to avoid large gatherings, starting with the WinterFeast Restaurant Crawl and WinterHawk Tournament, a tomahawk-throwing competition, on Thursday. The Ice Stroll, a display of ice sculptures, opens Friday, and the Chili Challenge takes place on Saturday. The Guardian Ad Litem program works with children up to age 18 who are involved in the court system due to abuse and neglect.
