A Lenoir man was arrested after police found more than 2 ounces of methamphetamine in a bag he was carrying, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said.

Dalton Lee Storie, 24, of Barcose street was driving a motorcycle on Sheely Road in the Gamewell area about 3 a.m. Friday when a deputy stopped him because the motorcycle had a fictitious registration plate, Capt. Aaron Barlowe said.

The drugs have a total street value of $12,000, according to North Carolina state drug guidelines.
