More ice on the way
- DAVID PREWITT | NEWS-TOPIC

Ice forms on the rocky hill sides of Waterfalls Road in northern Caldwell County. There may be a lot more ice here and all over the county by the end of today as a winter storm moves through. The National Weather Service predicted freezing rain would begin overnight and continue through at least this morning, with the potential for up to a half inch of ice forming. How much ice actually forms will depend on the storm’s track and how soon the temperature rises above freezing.
