Jordan Wade McCall, age 35, of Lenoir was called home on Saturday, May 7, 2022. He was born March 22, 1987 in Raleigh, NC to the late Richard and Amy Sherman McCall.
Jordan attended South Caldwell High School and pursued a career in the National Army Reserve where he completed his GED and basic training. He was released to take care of his disabled father.
Jordan taught himself to play the guitar and enjoyed playing for his father, his friends and little nieces and nephews. He was very good at mechanics and working with his hands. Jordan also had a great sense of humor, and everyone he came across will always remember sharing a big laugh with him. He was a valued employee at work, and had mastered what it means to show up and be a team player.
He enjoyed the company of friends, and much like his father, friends were more like family. He would give the shirt of his back for someone, and had a loyal and selfless spirit. His presence will be missed by so many, but is resting in a peace he longed for on earth.
Jordan is survived by his partner and best friend Robin Riddle; three sisters, Heather McCall (David Schwimmer), Janna Brown (Patrick), and Alisa Patterson (Robert); three nieces, Alanna Brown, Ava Patterson, and Gabriella Brown; and three nephews, Alex McCall, Riley Patterson, and Jonah Brown.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
