Linda Faye Coffey, 71, of Lenoir went to be with her loving Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care — Lenoir. She was born June 19, 1949, in Caldwell County to the late Carolyn Story Parker and Raymond Joseph Watson.
Mrs. Coffey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who put others before herself. She cared deeply for all her family.
Linda was a faithful church member of Community Baptist Church and strong in her faith. She loved the Lord and to testify of the miracles He worked in her life.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her husband of 55 years, Walter Hayden Coffey of the home; one daughter, Lisa Coffey Bryant and husband Mark of Lenoir; one granddaughter, Taylor Bryant Edwards and husband Caleb of Lenoir; one brother, Douglas Watson and wife Kathy of Athens, Georgia, and two sisters, Patricia Gibbons and husband Bob, both of Lenoir, and Brenda Watson of Hickory; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, graveside services will be privately held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Waitsel Beard and the Rev. Luke Brakefield. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Edwards, Chris Frye, Allen Watson, Jamey Watson, Nathan Coffey and Charlie Shatley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to, Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood St. NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
