Marlene Bollinger of Granite Falls passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Hickory Falls Rehab.
Born Sept. 2, 1941, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Holland Earnhardt Sr. and Ida Basinger Earnhardt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy Earnhardt and Clifford Earnhardt.
Marlene was a charter member of Christ United Lutheran Church.
She was a Girl Scout leader for 20 years, Sunday school teacher, member of the choir and a hand bells ringer.
She was retired from Century Chair. S
he enjoyed line dancing and always had a joyful disposition.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carrie Bollinger Key and husband Gene of Colletsville, Kim Rolon of Granite Falls, and Renee Blackburn and husband David of Satellite Beach, Florida; six grandchildren, Michael Hefner of Hudson, Sarah Terrell and husband Matt of Lakeland, Georgia, John Blackburn of Satellite, Florida, Rebecca Key of Colletsville, Collin Rolon of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and Luke Key of Colletsville; two great-grandchildren, Justin Hefner and Shyanne Hefner; two sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Earnhardt of Salisbury, and Cheryl Earnhardt of Woodleaf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Christ United Lutheran Church on Friday, July 23, 2021, 6 p.m. with Pastor Steve Rhodes and Pastor Hedi Punt officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior.
Burial will be at Union Lutheran Church Cemetery, Salisbury, at a later date.
