Thomas Bowman

On the night of November, 15, 2021, our loving father, pawpaw, friend and riding brother to many, Thomas “TW aka TDub” Wade Bowman, age 67 was taken too soon from us, but was healed from all when he entered Heaven.

He was born in Caldwell County on August 10, 1954 to the late Wade and Marie Moore Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only son, Joshua Thomas Bowman; one brother, Randy Bowman; and one sister, Judi Austin.

When you saw “TDub,” you saw a man with a smile who never failed to give you a hug and always said “I’m a hugger.” He enjoyed and lived life to the fullest. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends. TDub’s passion for motorcycles began when his parents gave him a 1945 Indian motorcycle for graduation. He wasn’t a person to crave expensive things and would give you the shirt right off his back if you needed it. Over the years he rode many miles on his motorcycles including to Sturgis and the Grand Canyon. When he wasn’t riding his motorcycle he made a living as a skilled mason.

Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Jennifer Bowman Laws of Lenoir; one brother, Bruce Bowman and wife Lisa; two sisters, Pam Petree and Reba Bowman; five grandchildren, Kaleb Miller, Shawn Laws, Elijah Laws, Josiah Laws and Kaitlin Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and riding brothers.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. John Borders.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 — 11:00 A.M., one hour prior to the service.

The family asks that if anyone who rode with TDub or that rides, join together for a memorial ride following the service. Motorcycles and vehicles are welcome.

Daddy, this is not goodbye. We will see you again and we love you.

Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
