To the editor:

As chairman of the Caldwell County Republican Party, I want to publicly denounce the actions of the protesters that assaulted and vandalized the U.S. Capitol Wednesday. Their actions were completely unjustified and unacceptable. It's my hope that they will be arrested and face the full extent of our justice system. There is absolutely no rationale to excuse this assault on the foundations of our democratic republic.
